Rodrigo Nikobin is a senior associate with the Litigation and Arbitration Practice Group at Padis Mattar Advogados.

He represents and advises national and foreign clients in high stake complex litigation and arbitration matters, and in litigation and enforcement proceedings with the Securities and Exchange Commission of Brazil (Comissão de Valores Mobiliários).

Rodrigo has 10 years of experience as counsel and arbitral tribunal secretary in arbitrations conducted under the aegis of the main arbitral institutions, including the ICC, LCIA, CAM-CCBC, CMA/FIESP-CIESP, CAM/BM&F-BOVESPA, CAMARB, FGV, as well as in ad hoc proceedings and under the UNCITRAL Rules.

He focuses his practices on commercial and corporate disputes related to a variety of industry sectors including energy, oil & gas, construction, mining, intellectual property, and telecommunications.

Before joining the firm in 2022, Rodrigo worked as an associate with the international arbitration groups of Mayer Brown LLP and Uría Menendez Abogados advising on pre-litigation matters and representing clients in disputes in Latin-America and Europe.

He further worked as an associate with the Litigation and Arbitration team of Lefosse Advogados, a São Paulo-based full-service law firm, focusing on corporate, finance, and capital-market related disputes.

He is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators – CIArb (UK) and his practice in arbitration matters has been consecutively recognized by legal directories, such as Análise Advocacia and Legal 500.
Rodrigo is a dual-qualified lawyer admitted to practice in Brazil and Portugal.
